Overview

Pinned Golf, a golf equipment e-commerce company making a name for themselves within the industry realized quickly that in order to run a more predictable, and scalable business, needed to add more focus to their wholesale channel as they looked for growth.

Not only did they need infrastructure for submitting orders, and sales tools, but they needed this system at large to communicate with other systems like their 3PL, and accounting software.

Problem

The current sales cycle, and activities conducted by not only their reps, but themselves as owners, was strenuous, error prone, and slow. They had to manual enter data into multiple locations. They also had little to work with when it came to KPI and sales team performance tracking.

Solution

A central source of truth built on Airtable that housed wholesale client data, order tracking, Sales rep Commissions, and product catalogues. As well, we stood up a sales portal through which reps place orders, and track their commissions

Outcome

Pinned now takes orders from reps through a portal which communicates with both their accounting system, and inventory management software. Order status is updated via data feed, invoices generate automatically, and reps have more power over their revenue. Pinned has grown wholesale by over 100%.
